Week 43

1st ($45 / 10pts): Adam J
2nd ($10 / 7pts): Aaron W
3rd ($0 / 4pts): Paul S
4th ($0 / 2pts): Staci P

Low Stakes / 7 Players / 1 Table / 100a Endtime

Okay let's be perfectly honest, when you are hitting Trips almost every fourth hand it's not so hard to win. Even better is hitting Quads against a completely disbelieving Staci P. One interesting fact that to note is that NONE of these started with me holding a pocket pair. I always hit them with only one card in the hole and the rest on the board. Wild.

But there was a seeming balance to everyone's frustrations of playing against a biased Lady Luck. This was the pleasure of ever so rare sighting of Keith N; though in retrospect his intentions were so obviously malicious. He claimed that his visit to our table was the first time he had played anywhere in months, but we all suspect the truth now.

No one wins our tourney (last year) without being a great and practiced player. It should have been soooooo apparent that he's a shark who only lost this week because he was playing soft. And was doing so just for the purpose of scouting us for this year's tourney. We should have immediately realized the subterfuge when he "led out" by spouting out his concerns for how well Martin G was able to read him at the tourney. "Thank god someone else took you out. 'cause you were definitely my nemesis!" Yeah, right!?

That's also probably why the table was only seven players. Surely many of our more shrewd players saw Keith's name on this week's list and knew better than give him any insights into their play. The rest of us clearly were oblivious.

If only I had figured out what was going on at the time! No way would I have tried to win!!
