Hosting karma was with Lee and Margaret, who took over McJo's while Mick recovers from a tragic rollerskating accident. (No, seriously.) This was also a night that saw the field artificially pared down to six players. Eight were slated, but Ray never showed (I believe McJo's rules say he owes Margaret $5), and Dallas had to bail in the third round because of a veterinary emergency (chocolate is poisonous to dogs, in case you didn't know). Early action saw Galway get big and then flame out -- not really news, except that it might be his fastest decline ever. He won the first four hands and quickly looked intimidating, but eventually Lee took him out on a horrible suckout: KQ vs K8, with Lee getting the needed 8 on the river. Exit Martin, a mere 17 minutes into the game. Margaret sank to low stack, around 8K, but fought her way back, including a truly evil bet in which she tricked Lee into folding his trip 3s to her mere big slick. She continued her bluff-master ways and got a big swing when her 10-10 all-in took about half of Lee's stack (AK) and got Randy to fold QQ. Margaret eventually took out Laura and Randy, leaving Lee and Margaret to duel a la Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner in War of the Roses. After bitter trench warfare (but with Margaret at an almost 3-1 advantage) she finally knocked out her poor husband -- who has always treated her like a queen and didn't deserve such brutal treatment -- when her A-10 caught an ace on fourth street, defeating his 4-4.
