2008 Week 1 - Results
1st ($75 / 10pts): Seamus Rail
2nd ($0/ 7pts): Mick "The Siddhartha of Poker" McNutty
3rd ($0 / 4pts): Eric "I'm going to sit in the comfy chair" Hepburn
4th ($0 / 2pts): Randy "The Galway lottery winner" R
Low Stakes / 10 Players / 1 Table / 1215am Endtime
The game started off with everyone being very talkative with three or four different conversations going on for several rounds. It was also surprisingly intellectual with all of us giving Mick advice on yoga, meditation, and other intellectual stuff. Oh but it didn't last long, and eventually we were back to our crude selves. As for the poker Martin took a big early lead which in the end was good for Randy. Adam who wanted to start out strong this season was the first to buy back in, and then the first one out. He didn't end up having to deal much thanks to his borrowed cappuccino machine. In the end I killed John for the second time when he went all in with pocket queens vs. my bullets (sorry John). Mick took out Randy, and the...wait let me back up. Eric had decided to move to the "comfy/dealer" chair when Randy was knocked out. I told Eric that might be bad luck, but he laughed at my simple superstitious beliefs. Then the pagan gods of poker struck him down, Mick took him out the very next hand. Mick had more chips then me but I got ahead and won with pocket 6's vs. her suited ace ten.
