Results, Week 52
1st ($70 / 10pts): Mick "Man Cave" McNulty
2nd ($0/ 7pts): Martin "Vulture" Galway
3rd ($0 / 4pts): Lee "I Said 'Trips' Goddammit" Nichols
Low Stakes / 11 Players / 1 Table / Midnight Endtime
Lee guest blogging, because of Mick's disdain for it. This will be short and sweet: Jen Neafcy, a latecomer to this league, played a great game to finish fourth. But when it came to the three-way, it was Martin with a huge stack, and MM and LN somewhere around 30K to 50K. Mick then brutalized Lee on a couple of cruel hands, first beating Lee's all-in on trip fours with her flush, and then a few hands later his all-in QJ looked good against her 8-9 suited until two more nines came up on the flop. You could have at least used some lube, Mick.
Martin tried some trashtalking -- "Why don't you just give up now, Mick?" -- but double M isn't easily intimidated. She chewed into his 2-1 advantage within a few hands, culminating in his attempt to bluff with nothing smashing into her full house.
This brought the season to quite the dramatic end: Ray wins in a photo finish, his 137 points barely edging Adam's 136 and Mick's fantastic stretch run to pull up to 135.
