When you write the winners blog entry, you want to pound your chest and recall aggressive bluffs, sneaky slow plays, or narrow misses that imply great personal skill was involved in securing victory over lesser players at the table. This will not be such a post.
I won this week because I had pocket Queens and Kings 3 or 4 times and called all-in bets from short/medium stacks when the flop was unders and they hit top pair. I was weak/tight even when big chip stack. Gave up winning hands being overly cautious. Got caught almost every time I pushed a bluff or semibluff. There was little strong play. Just had over pairs at the right times.
To end, I want to apologize to Ray for laying down that awful bad beat. In the last three games, I have seen him go all-in pre-flop three handed with rockets and get crushed twice. That's just not right.
