Week 1 - McJo's 2009b Season
1st ($55 / 10pts): Adam J
2nd ($10/ 7pts): Aaron W
3rd ($0 / 4pts): Randy R
4th ($0 / 2pts): Martin G
Low Stakes / 9 Players / 1 Table / 1230a Endtime
To be honest I don't have great, broad recollections of the game. Most of the evening went on in a manner very similar to games of the past. New and changes to the rules were discussed. The flow and speed of the game was severely impeded at some point by a distracting discussion about one or many of the following topics:
politics (sensibility verses Aaron),
culture (musical history verses Aaron),
technology (Aaron verses his own company),
and bad beats (Aaron... well this time it's Aaron along with the rest of the table verses Martin).
I do have one actual recollection of the night. With four players left we all basically had equal stacks, and everyone was playing very tight. The prospect of a super long game started giving all the players who had real jobs, long drives home, or both great trepidations. It was shortly after this that the one player who had "none of the above," swooped in and won.
