Week 2 Results
1st ($160 / 13pts): Adam "(Ultra Politically Incorrect Nickname Here)" Joseph
2nd ($80/ 9pts): Eric "(Super Politically Incorrect Nickname Here)" Hepburn
3rd ($0 / 5pts): Aaron "(Very Politically Incorrect Nickname Here)" Wanstrath
4th ($0 / 3pts): Mick "(Quite Politically Incorrect Nickname Here)" McNulty
High Stakes / 10 Players / 1 Table / 1200a Endtime
A great night of Poker it was - full of thrills, spills, and hilarity in the best tradition of McJo's.
High lights included: Aaron W elevated himself to the level of true gentleman. Having used what must have been a non-trivial portion of his tournament winnings, he showed up with a truly impressive cornucopia of (fresh) snacks - both in quantity and variety. With Ken N absent Mick M amped up her energy by sitting next to Eric H and subsequently quipped a slurred barb so profoundly politically incorrect that I'm not even going to quote it here. It was none-the-less then bantered about the table for the remainder of the evening.
In the realm of actual poker Martin G played his "Robin Hood" game, and bulked up early only to disperse the wealth soon thereafter. Ray F experienced both the pleasure and the pain of Flopping Quad 2's, but making no money from them. Randy R brought another guest (fish), Michael who was in town for the gaming conference. Unfortunately his evening went the lesser of what seems to be the feast or famine way of a newcomer/neophyte and he received a merciless thrashing. AK spent the evening living up to the nickname of "Anna Kournikova," rather than "Big Slick" and failed to hold up - even against AQ.
But one of the most interesting stories of the night is that all three of the top finishers might very well have been out of the game far earlier. With the Blinds at 700/1400 I was down to 7400 before tripling up when my Pocket 4's held up to start my run for the win. Though I cant remember the specifics of either Eric H or Aaron W's low points, they seemed to have made equally impressive come-backs to be successful.
