In the immortal words of Elton John- "the bitch is back."

Okay I agree, tied with Martin for 5th place is hardly the definition of "back." But I did finally end my dry spell. Adam keeps asking me- what did you do different tonight- and let me answer you honestly...
I have no fucking idea!

Since I expected this night to be like any other (I re-bought in the first round- my husband took me out), I didn't bother trying to think about hands or other interesting things to recall for this entry as I never thought I would be writing one of these ever again.

I do remember me making fun of Seamus for
A. being a frat boy
B. having bought a ticket for Hootie and the Blowfish

I also made fun of Aaron, for just looking and acting like a frat boy- and finally I just settled on calling Aaron "Hootie" all night. (Hootie and the Meathooks).

Ray brought Nikki for luck and it worked out really well. (for the rest of us, Ray re-bought 10 minutes into the game.

But, with the help of Adam here are a couple of hands to remember.

For a while it seemed that Seamus could do no wrong- whatever card he needed, sooner or later appeared on almost every hand. Pretty soon even we were encouraging him to go for the draw- you know it will come! For instance Seamus and Lee were both all in with pocket pairs (Seamus pocket 6's and lee pocket 9's). Of course Seamus gets a 6 right on the flop. Seamus also killed Jen by drawing cards for a freaking flush against Jen's trip Queens. Trust me if you weren’t there Seamus had 6 kills and that factoid alone kinda tells the story by itself.

At heads up Seamus had me almost 4 to 1 in the stack department. Somehow I found the patience to wait it out and slow play my full house (hehehe).

Mick and Adam made turkey chili, and by the looks of the crock pot at the end of the night, it was enjoyed by all. I am thinking of making crock pot something on Tuesdays so if you have any favorite recipes for crock pots- bring em.
