Well I guess one can't win without good cards. And without Staci P around to receive them - the newest addition to the group - I apparently was Lady Luck's ward for the night. I certainly benefited from some painfully (for others) well timed hands. One notable occurrence was against Ray F. He was short stacked, though that probably didn't matter. When his AJ connected with the flop giving him top pair with Jacks it was perfectly understandable that he go All In. Unfortunately I was holding Ladies. Pocket Tens seemed to be the power hand of the night. Aaron W hit Trips with them twice, and I Quaded mine, but I couldn't get Mark Y to bite and go All In against them - which would turn to be problematic, at least for the folks keeping tabs on the Stat Sheet. It was also another of many weeks where Bullets were no good. Ken N had 'em, but unfortunately he was dominating Mark Y with his A2. As has been a shocking pattern of brutal fortunes, one 2 came on the flop and then another on the turn. Pocket Rockets shot down by Trip Twos - ugh. Overall it turned out for me to be one of those nights you hate to be up against, but love to have for your self. I killed one player in the early rounds making me the big stack. And though others sometimes edged me for the chip lead, I essentially never lost any momentum as I plowed through the field from start to finish.
Also noteworthy is that Mark Y - having made the minimum number of games (7) with this night's tourney - has acheived some unprecedented stats in both Average and ROI!!
