Week 5 Results 9/23/08

No pink balls this week .. those pink balls shriveled up quicker than the Bush bailout proposal … The air instead was filled with testosterone, sweddy balls, and a heavy smell of musk as an all male heads-up match ..
This weeks game featured very solid play and almost no suckouts and the standings were pretty much determined by those who caught cards and those who didn't. Eric hovered in vulture mode for the first couple of rounds and looked like he was going to make it in when Mick went all-in small stack (after already rebuying) just at the end of round 2. However, just when Eric was about to start picking at her carcass (and kicking it to the curb to take her seat), Laura rushed to her rescue and forced out all the remaining callers (3 or 4 of them) on a draw. Mick took the hand when Laura didnt hit her flush and Eric went home sad, lonely, and with out that taste of Mick in his mouth.
Ray was small stack for a good portion of the night before hitting a nice run to make it to heads up. I was catching cards at the right time as evidenced on the last hand where I gambled four card flush after the flop (Ray went all) and caught it.
I have to give kudos to Mrs. Neafcy making it to third place for the first time.
