1st ($ 5, yes FIVE dollars/ 10pts): Ken "got his ass kicked by a girl" N
2nd ($ 10/ 7pts): Ray "zilla" F
3rd ($0 / 4pts): Martin "ATM" G
4th ($0 / 2pts): Laura "stealth play" B

Low Stakes / 10 Players / 1 Table / 12:20A Endtime

Before I get into the game highlights a few house keeping items: Ray F. is actually the big winner who PLAYED this week. Even half asleep, my wife still had enough snap to ask for my winnings within minutes after walking in the door. After a short argument and even a shorter struggle I woke up staring at the ceiling and only 5 dollars in my wallet. Adam: please make the necessary changes to the stats.....

The other item is among the table banter was discussion regarding rule changes. Among the possibilities that were discussed were bringing back unlimited rebuy’s for the first x rounds and adding another place payout during big money nights...

The game itself was characterized by pretty solid play from everyone at the table - even Martin. Sure, you had a couple of crazy calls along with one or two sick suckouts. But overall it was pretty uneventful. This win was about (finally) showing some patience, and getting good payouts when I did catch cards.

The Play of the Day however goes to Mr. Flowers who not only caught the season's first quads, but managed to make it pay as well. Ray snagged pocket six's and there were 4 players going into the flop. Of course, the flop falls 6-6-x . Martin, first to act, bets 4k. I fold. Randy (I think), saw a blinking sign above Martin's head that said "ATM OPEN" went all-in. However, if he had bothered to look up, he would have seen the the giant foot of a "Ray-zilla" poised to stomp on his head and Ray had little choice but to make Randy pay for his lack of vision.

The game changing moment came when the game was 3 up (Martin, Ray, me) where a hand involving me and Ray resulted in a 60k chip swing. The end of the night was about catching good cards at the right times.

Finally be safe this holiday weekend and avoid downtown this weekend if you're out and about as there will be a number of street closures over the 4 day weekend. Street closures will stretch from the UT campus, south to Zilker Park for a variety of marathons, football games, and concerts.
