Week 3 results, September 9
1st ($30 / 10pts): eric 'double your pleasure' h
2nd ($30/ 7pts): aaron 'i know when to split the pot' w
3rd ($0 / 4pts): laura 'ow that was my b-j-j' b
4th ($0 / 2pts): lee 'no, it was was my b-j-j' n
Low Stakes / 10 Players / 1 Table / 12:30am Endtime
clearly I'm not taking this whole 'poker journalism' aspect of the league seriously enough for the rest of the gang... however, I shall not be discouraged... especially since this week's win puts me in the season points lead for the first time in *cough* *cough* years...
while my memory of this evening's poker has degenerated significantly in the intervening weeks (no doubt influenced somewhat by my liberal indulgence in the spirits on the eve in question)... what I remember (in reverse sequential order) was aaron's inestimable wisdom in splitting the money when we were heads up without haggling about the exact chip count, the feeling that I had better slow it down since i was both tipsy and still in the game, and being very thankful that i was able to tell the difference between 'what is' and 'what i hope'... may this spotty poker wisdom be of some paltry value to you my poker children as you seek the vaunted back-to-back
