Sometimes you don't play your best poker, and you still end up winning.
I had all my chips in 3 times tonight while behind.
Event 1: Pre-River All-In vs Stacy. 8 Outs, 17%, ~5 to 1. Right call on the river, wrong bets everywhere else. Hit. Stacy did not take this well. Sorry Stacy.
Event 2: Pre-Flop All-In vs Adam. A9 vs A10. 37.5% chance to win/tie. Board double paired and we split. Adam tasted blood here.
Event 3: Pre-Flop (sm)All-In vs Adam Q9 suited vs A10, AJ?. ~40% to win. Caught a straight on the turn. Ended Adams night.
I avoided danger elsewhere. The final 3 played very tight and well. Ultimately it came down to who hit something on the flop. Ray & I lasted 1 hand heads up. I hit on the flop, he didn't. Game Set Match.
I didn't notice at the time, but the game ended on my Birthday. So Happy Birthday to me.
