Week 38 results
1st ($65 / 10pts): Todd "Cleveland Rocks" Morris
2nd ($10/ 7pts): Aimee "Doctor" Morris
3rd ($0 / 4pts): Mick "Anal Retentive" McNulty
4th ($0 / 2pts): Jen "Quiet Storm" Neafcy
Low Stakes / 10 Players / 1 Table / 1am Endtime
After two long years, Todd and Aimee returned to Austin. They came, they saw, they conquered. If some of you think, "Wow, I'm winning a lot more, my play has improved a lot lately" ... quit deluding yourselves. You've been winning more because the Morrises haven't been at the table.
Of course, they got a little help in this special Wednesday edition of McJo's. Especially Todd. Especially from flushes. Especially from me. Eh, what the heck -- I'm his host this week, it was the least I could do to help him enjoy his stay. First he got on the ropes, and then a flush on the river against me kept him in the game. A little later, he hit a flush on the flop and then played me like a fiddle, long enough for me to hit a straight on the river and think I was invincible.
Then he got help from Martin. MG apparently thought that being big stack gave him immunity from the rule that says you have to actually play your cards. After one too many lengthy delays, Martin's cards were involuntarily folded and he left the game in protest, leaving Todd as the dominant power.
Ken left the game as well, but not of his own choice. As Armageddon raged across the Hill Country and headed toward Austin, Superken had to fly away to save us all, and was gone for the better part of the night. Once his duties were over, he rushed back to the game, where his dwindling stack awaited. He immediately went all-in on the first hand, and promptly began dealing. Hope you had fun, Ken.
After an evening of scaring people to death with her cold-blooded calls, Jen eventually went out uneventfully. Aimee then tortured Mick by working the small stack to good effect. Running her out of several pots with bold all-ins, Aimee finally bled Double M out. That left the happy couple to work some marital strife, which was finally resolved with A-x vs. QJ, both of which turned into two pair. Todd's pair was better. (Boy, never thought I'd say that.) That wasn't the final killer hand, but it was the significant one.
Welcome back, Morris family! Come back to stay!
