What can I say, after some early poking with a sharp stick (some comment about how he was going to make a great dealer) relative-newcomer-to-the-table Ed, buckled down and made it to heads-up, where he played a solid game. unfortunately for him, the same poker gods that held Mr. Hepburn winless last season, had apparently decreed that he is 'rollin-rollin-rollin-like-rawhide-unstoppable'... so, despite a few big swings and near misses, Ed was eventually steamrolled when his middle-pair-all-in was called by a drawing hand that didn't make the flush or the straight, but did manage to hit a bigger pair on the river... look, they're the poker gods, they aren't under any obligation to make sense, at least not to the likes of us mere mortals.

Ken maintained a consistent level of play for a third place finish tonight, holding steady at second place in the league standings. Adam J. suffered the zero-sum-game consequences of the grace the poker gods have bestowed on yours truly, personally I feel for him, really, I do...
