Week 9 - Rain Delayed Game
1st ($55 / 10pts): Adam J
2nd ($10/ 7pts): Randy R
3rd ($0 / 4pts): Ken N
4th ($0 / 2pts): Martin G
Low Stakes / 8 Players / 1 Table / 1a Endtime
This tourney was played as a make-up game. So that means that by the time we actually got around to playing it several weeks later I could hardly remember what had happened.....
Heh - Makes no sense right? Well whatever. We did play the game on a Fri and then - before I found time to do the recap - we played the next regular game on the following Tue. Thus without any astounding suckouts, notably bawdy discussions (Mick wasn't there), or otherwise copious notes, I don’t have much to re-tell you my friends! So let's take a wack at just typing for a bit shall we?
It was frankly sad to see how poorly several of the other top players performed that night. Ray F, Eric H, and Mick M all played so passive and poorly that they never had any chance of winning. It was almost as though they weren't there - which they weren't.
Martin G, Ken N, and Randy R all played amazing poker. And kinda like Phil Helmuth says, "If there was no luck in poker, they would have all won!"
I played as poorly as ever, but sucked out almost every hand I was in. So I beat out Randy R for the big payout when my 72os double Quad'ed to torpedo his Bullets over Kowboys Full House.
